JohnBAINESSuddenly on May 9th 2025 at his Vicarage in Longnor, Rev. Preb. John Charles Baines aged 56 years, formerly of Combs and New Mills. Loved and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Friday June 13th, Service at St Bartholomew's Church, Longnor at 1.30pm, followed by Interment at Sheen Churchyard. Will relatives and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the Church.

No flowers please by his own request, donations may be sent if desired and will be divided between the Churches of the Benefice.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Fr John. We had the privilege of working alongside him as funeral directors and always appreciated his compassionate guidance and dedication to the families he served. We will always remember his kindness and wonderful sense of humour. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family during this difficult time.
